Conditions of participation

Participation in OLYMPUS is open to all and only Algerian teams, meaning that all team members (including the coach) must have the Algerian nationality.

All participating teams must have at least 5 players and are allowed to have a max of 2 replacement players who need to be registered before the beginning of the tournament.

Once the tournament starts, teams cannot make any changes to the list of participating players. Any attempt to do so will result in the disqualification of the team.

Since the next phase of OLYMPUS will take place within a physical event organized in Algiers, the finalists must be ready to attend the event and participate physically (The charges are covered by the organizer).

If a player's country of residence is changed in order to avoid any country restrictions or if the player is trying to fake or abuse they will be punished

A player's country must be set to their country of residence. Deliberately faking the country of residence is punishable.

A player's nationality must be set to their nationality that is proven by a current passport. Deliberately faking nationality is punishable.

The tournament organizer has the right to decide outside or even against the rulebook in special cases to guarantee fairplay.


The participating teams and players will be visible through OLYMPUS website and Owned Medias, as well as the in-game streams and communication content.

Code of conduct

All Participants are required to comply with all of the instructions of the Code of Conduct.

It’s the personal responsibility of the participants, to familiarize themselves with all of the requirements of the Code of Conduct, including what conduct constitutes an offense under the Code of Conduct.

Public criticism of, or inappropriate public comment in relation to an incident occurring in a Match or any Player, Organizer or Team participating in the tournament.

The players are expected to represent the tournament and esports honorably. This applies to behavior in-game and also in chats, messengers, comments and other media.


You value the diverse perspectives, backgrounds, and opinions of others, even when different from your own. You appreciate that all viewpoints come from the life experiences of fellow human beings. You understand that online interactions impact real people in real ways, both offline and online.


You behave honorably and honestly. You take responsibility for your words and actions. While playing games, you honor the rules and spirit of honest competition.


You respect everyone regardless of their background, identity, physical appearance, or beliefs. Even in competitive gaming where “trash-talk” is common, you are a good sport and respect opponents as fellow human beings, keeping the banter to the game, not ever making it personal.


You have the courage to moderate your own behavior, speak out against harassment, and report violations by others. You do not tolerate harassment or hate speech of any kind, even when you are not directly involved.

Participants must not engage in harassment or hate speech in any form. This includes, but is not limited to:

Hate speech, offensive behavior, or verbal abuse related to sex, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disability, physical appearance, body size, age, or religion.

Spamming and inciting disruption of streams or social media.

Posting or threatening to post other people’s personally identifying information.

Unwelcome sexual attention. This includes, unwelcome sexualized comments, jokes, and sexual advances.

Encouraging, any of the above behavior.

All insults that happen during the OLYMPUS tournament, and on its platforms, may be punished. This includes but is not limited to ingame chat of the corresponding game, forums, Match- or News-Comments, Match-Chat, game IDs. Insults that happen externally are not taken into account.

Severe incidents including, but not limited to the following points, may be punished in other ways:

Extremist statements

Threat of violence

Sexual harassment

severe insults

pornographic linkings

Violation of this Code of Conduct will result in a possible disqualification, or banning from future OLYMPUS tournaments and events.


OLYMPUS reserves exclusive right to the coverage of OLYMPUS Open Qualifier and OLYMPUS Elite Cup matches. This includes all forms of transmission, including IRC Bots, Shoutcast-streams and GOTV Broadcasts. OLYMPUS can assign the coverage rights of a match or of several matches to a third party or to the actual players themselves. In this case, terms and conditions would have to be arranged with OLYMPUS management before the match.


All forms of cheating in OLYMPUS matches are forbidden and will be punished. Should it become known to the organizers that any form of cheating was used to the advantage of a player or a team during a match, OLYMPUS reserves the right to punish them to the full extent of the rules available. By breaking any rule a player risks being completely excluded from the tournament. This also includes their team.

The use of programs (or "hacks") or other methods to circumvent, modify or in any way manipulate the Anticheat is forbidden. Any use of such programs or methods will be punished as cheating. Even testing of such programs or methods in a match not happening within the tournament will be punished.

Contributing to the distribution of cheats in any way is not allowed on OLYMPUS. This includes but is not limited to referring to the name, website or logo of cheats. Violating this rule will be punished from a warning up to exclusion from OLYMPUS.

Any infractions committed by an individual player can result in the disqualification of the whole team.

All external voice programs are allowed (e.g. Teamspeak, Ventrilo etc.). Scripts and changes to the game's configuration are allowed.

Programs that provide an advantage during game play (e.g. drivers that allow the removal of walls) are forbidden. Any programs that change the game itself are forbidden.

Engaging in any action that improperly influences the outcome of a game or match by any means is forbidden and can result in disqualification.

Any kind of doping is forbidden.

Bribing or attempting to bribe an organizer or trying to manipulate the competition results in the forfeiture of prize money and a monetary fine (if discovered before the end of a tournament, disqualification)

A player can only play for one team in a tournament. Registering in multiple teams will result in the disqualification.
